Children reorganize and adequately reconstruct values through social practices.
"Socialization in no way constitutes the result of a unidirectional cause such as the pressure of the adult community upon the child through such means as education in the family, and subsequently in the school ... it involves the intervention of a multiplicity of interactions of different types and sometimes with opposed effects
(J. Piaget 1960/1995, Sociological Studies, p. 276)."

Research Interest: Justice Reasoning and Interpersonal Forgiveness in Psychology
I develop theoretical and empirical studies to examine the impact of justice reasoning and forgiveness on human development, that is, implications for individual growth and social justice. I have studied forgiveness across cultures, created measures of assessment, and promoted educational interventions for moral development of justice reasoning.
