Northern Illinois University's College of Education continues the institution's 100-year history of preparing professional educators for the region and nation. The college is composed of hallmark programs developed through adherence to research-grounded, philosophical bases that have shaped its various disciplines. Through these programs, the College of Education's students are characterized. For undergraduates, the framework under which all programs function is that of the reflective practitioner.
