Is the College listed as a 501(c)(3) organization (i.e. tax deductible for donations)?
Yes.
What is the fair market value for tickets?
Fair market value is $45 per person, $90 per couple. Attendees will receive a letter from the NIU Foundation for tax purposes.
Will the music for dancing be provided by a live band, orchestra, or DJ?
Music will be provided by Prism Lights DJs. To complement the theme of the celebration, music will be predominantly jazz and swing.
Will tables be assigned?
No. Refreshments will be served reception style.
Will auction paddles be provided to each person or as a couple?
Paddles will be provided to each guest.
Is valet parking available?
No, but there is a parking lot adjacent to the building.
Will auctioned items be available for pickup the same evening?
Items and gift certificates will be taken home that evening.
What forms of payment will be accepted for auction items?
Cash, personal checks, and credit cards will be accepted.
