Where the tube is connected to the lantern, there is a small slot. The thin, glass slides were put in this slot. | |
| Here the access door to the lantern is open. You can see the kerosene lamp inside. Behind the lamp was a small and highly polished metal reflecting plate that helped create enough light to project the pictures painted on the slides. |
