• Congratulations to the Counseling faculty who were presented with the "Heart Award" at the 2008 Illinois Counseling Association Annual Meeting in Tinley Park. The Counseling faculty were honored for their work in the aftermath of the campus shooting on February 14, 2008.

• Congratulations to Emily LeFew, counseling student, who was the 2009 recipient of a scholarship supported by the Mental Health Resource League of McHenry County.
• The Counseling Department is offering CAHC211, an undergraduate course which presents career development and career decision making. There are class sections for freshmen/sophomores and juniors/seniors. For more information, see the CAHC211 Website.
• The Adult and Higher Education Faculty announce dates for Spring 2009 AHE Informational/Open Sessions for Prospective Students. These sessions are for students interested in the Adult and Higer Education degree programs only. The programs in Counseling are not covered in these sessions.
• Howard Johnston Award for Graduate Student Travel - Summer applications are due in the CAHE Department Office (Gabel Hall 200) by June 23, 2009.
