  • Lisa M. Baumgartner's research and writing focus on adult learning and development and issues of diversity. She won the Cyril O. Houle Award for Outstanding Literature in Adult Education for Learning in Adulthood: A Comprehensive Guide (3rd ed) which she co-authored with Sharan B. Merriam and Rosemary S. Caffarella. She is a recipient of the Kellogg Foundation's Houle Scholars Research Grant for Emerging Scholars. She has taught graduate level courses in adult learning, adult development, introduction to adult and higher education, research methods, and adult and higher education in the social context.
