Teresa A. Fisher

Dr. Teresa A. Fisher, Associate Professor of Counseling in the Department of Counseling, Adult and Higher Education. She has a Ph.D in Educational Psychology from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Her area of studies focused on Counselor Education/Psychology and Developmental Psychology. Dr. Fisher is a Nationally Certified Counselor with professional experiences in university counseling centers, higher education administration and school counseling. Graduate courses taught include Counseling Children, Personality Assessment, Multicultural Issues in Counseling, Career Development, Group Counseling, practicum, internship, and Consultation and Management of Developmental School Counseling Programs. Dr. Fisher's research interests include resilient youth, school counseling interventions, and factors that enhance academic and career motivation. She is active in numerous professional organizations and consistently presents at the following conferences: American Counseling Association, American Educational Research Association American Counselor Education & Supervision.
