A greeting to my future students

Greetings wonderful students! I am so very much looking forward to meeting you. We have so much to teach each other and I am thankful to be learning from you while you learn from me. We will have an amazing adventure together. Cheers!

Why I want to be a teacher and what I believe promotes great learning

I have been teaching college students for over 15 years. I love the intellectual engagement in the classroom. I want to work with younger students now, so that I can better help my students who will be educators understand how to connect with their own future students. I hold that direct experience is what promotes great learning.

Why I am interested in teaching in China

I was a TA for a history class on Ancient China. The culture is so rich, that I cannot wait to immerse myself in it. I cannot imagine a better way to learn about China than from working with the youth of the nation.

What theme I will use to teach English, and why I chose that theme

I love the environment and all that encompasses. I hope to discuss how the environment comes into play in everyday life - from hobbies such as scuba diving to family pets to hiking adventures. I believe there is a cultural link to how one views the environment and environmental issues and I hope to exchange these views with my students through their use of English.
