A greeting to my future students

Hello! My name is Ms. Davoran. I cannot express to you enough how excited I am and how fortunate I feel to have this opportunity to come meet you and work with you this summer while exploring your beautiful homeland. I can't wait to get to know each of you, and to dive into the fun and engaging lessons we have planned!

Why I want to be a teacher and what I believe promotes great learning

I have been a teacher for three years, and I believe it's one of the toughest, but also one of the most fulfilling and important, careers someone could choose. I always knew I wanted to work with kids and help them understand how things work, how to solve problems and how to be critical thinkers. I also knew I never wanted to stop figuring those things out for myself, as I find myself learning alongside my students every day. I believe active questioning, the desire to explore and investigate and collaborate with others, promotes great learning.

Why I am interested in teaching in Taiwan

One of my favorite things to do is travel to new places, meet new people and try new things. I love to build relationships with people and learn from them as much as I hope they will learn from me. I look forward to taking on opportunities that have the potential to be both challenging and rewarding, and I believe that teaching in Taiwan will be full of those experiences!

My desired superpower and why

If I could have any superpower, I would choose time-travel. I am fascinated by so many people throughout history and would love to be able to go back in time to meet them. I also wonder what it would be like to travel to the future to see how different things will be from the way they are now. I imagine I would bounce around to different time periods a lot, learning as much as I can and interacting with as many people as possible.
