A greeting to my future students
Why I want to be a teacher and what I believe promotes great learning
As long as I can remember, I have loved school and learning new things. I also love to help others learn new things; such as what an individual's strengths are, what their passions are, and what goals they have or want to set for their life. I especially love helping people who may have difficulties with learning. Every individual has their own
Why I am interested in teaching in Taiwan
I am interested in teaching in Taiwan for a couple of reasons. One reason is to be able to teach abroad in a completely new environment. I have always been eager to learn and help others learn, so it will be exciting to discover and adapt to new methods of teaching while also using my previous knowledge and experiences to provide the students with a well-rounded learning experience this summer. I am also interested in teaching in Taiwan because of what I have learned about the country and culture. When applying for this opportunity, I had researched the countries with which the Educate Global Program was partnering. I became intrigued and fascinated in learning and partaking in teaching in a country with culture, customs, and educational systems like those in Taiwan. I really enjoy the strong emphasis that the country puts on education, as it is obviously very important to me, as well.
My desired superpower and why
If I had a superpower, it would be to stop time. I am constantly saying to myself that there are never enough hours in the day. It would be nice to stop time to be more productive some days and be able to pace myself so my work or the task at hand can be done more efficiently. On the other hand, it would also be great to have some extra time to relax, travel, spend time with loved ones, and do the things that I love.
