A greeting to my future students

Hello! I am so happy to hear that you are considering coming to camp this summer. We will be learning a lot of new and exciting things each day and will have a lot of fun! Each day we will get to know more about each other, sing songs, play games, solve problems through engineering, read and write comic books, explore YDU, create art and learn more about English and the United States. I can't wait to meet you this summer!

Why I want to be a teacher and what I believe promotes great learning

I loved school when I was growing up, and found that I love working with students. That's why I became a teacher. Now, I get to go to school every day! I have been teaching fifth-grade for four years. Next year will be my first year teaching second-grade. One of my favorite things about being a teacher is making learning fun. In my classroom and at camp this summer, we will be moving around a lot in the classroom and on YDU's campus. We will be working in groups and in pairs. We will be playing relay race and minute-to-win-it games and engineering with a pigeon, and that's just some of the fun we will have this summer!

Why I am interested in teaching in Taiwan

Teaching in Taiwan will allow me to help more students find a love of learning. The experience will help me teach students and learn from them about other parts and people of the world. It will help me become an even better teacher and a better person!

My desired superpower and why

After looking up superpowers I found one that I had never even heard of before: omnilingualism. The superpower of omnilingualism allows you to instantly learn, speak and understand any language. If you have this power, you can communicate with almost anyone! I will be teaching campers English this summer and I can't wait to learn some Mandarin from them too!
