Fatih Demir, Ph.D.

In 2009, Dr. Fatih Demir graduated from University of Baltimore earning the degree of Doctor of Communications Design (DCD). In August 2015, he joined to the School of Information Science and Learning Technologies at the University of Missouri as postdoctoral fellow. He will be joining to the Educational Technology, Research and Assessment Department at the Northern Illinois University as Assistant Professor by August 2017.

Dr. Demir has spent years teaching and researching Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Usability, Interaction Design, Social Media Analysis, and e-government design. He conducted research at the Information Experience Lab using remote and mobile eye tracking systems both at the University of Baltimore and University of Missouri. At the Mizzou, with the Information Experience Lab's multidisciplinary research environment, he worked with faculty, staff and graduate assistants on various projects in the realm of Journalism, Education, Medicine and Computer Science.

He is going to teach Human-Computer Interaction and User Experience Research and Design courses at the NIU starting Fall ’17 semester.
