Instructional Technology program
The ETRA department offers graduate degree programs for individuals interested in pursuing careers in instructional technology.
Two different graduate programs are offered:
-
The Master’s program (M.S.Ed.) in Instructional Technology provides specialized training to those persons who wish to be employed as school media specialists, instructional developers in business and industrial training departments, or as producers of software in a variety of locations.
-
The Doctoral program (Ed.D.) in Instructional Technology prepares administrators, designers, and instructors in the field of Instructional Technology. The program emphasizes research in and theoretical applications of technology in society and the workplace.
Both programs may be coordinated to fulfill the requirements of either State of Illinois endorsement or certification in School Library Media. An informative booklet (in Adobe Acrobat format) describing the courses and programs of study is available.
