As you near the end of your studies, register for, take, and pass the required state certification test for Library Information Specialists or Technology Specialist, and if not taken previously, the Basic Skills test. Students are required to take the K-12 APT test unless they already have Illinois teacher certification covering the grades K-12. Test scores are sent directly to the state. See the ISBE website for information about required tests.
