The Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education (KNPE) offers degrees at both the undergraduate and graduate levels for those who are interested in teaching (K-12 or 6-12) or entering careers in preventative and rehabilitative exercise science, athletic training, coaching, or dance.
The growth of the northern suburbs has resulted in a variety of job opportunities for our graduates, and a strong network of alumni is currently employed in the suburbs surrounding Chicago. Many graduate students take advantage of the department's course offerings at three external sites: Hoffman Estates, Naperville, and Rockford.
