The Learning Center has four multi-media editing stations; two are in the Production Lab and two others in the north wing computer lab. Each station allows you to import video or audio from a variety of sources. You can create a videotape, video CD, or DVD or export to the internet. Our stations run Pinnacle and Dazzle software.
In the Learning Center, you can make multiple copies of most media formats: VHS, mini-DV, CDs and DVDs, or portions of a video for class.
The Learning Center has a VersaLaser™ cutting system. Letters can be cut in very small to very large formats using almost any Microsoft Word font. A gallery of images for cut outs is also available featuring animals, plants, people, maps, food and lots more. Cut outs can then be laminated.
The center also has paper cutters, a binding machine, art paper, scissors, tape glue and an Ellison letter press.
The Learning Center houses two copy machines. Copies are 8 cents a page; the machines accept Huskie Bucks as well.
A Huskie Bucks Value Transfer Stations (VTS machines) is located in the Learning Center. Huskie Bucks can be used to make purchases in the Learning Center and at the copy machines. Visit the OneCard site for more information about Huskie Bucks.
