Educational Specialist (Ed.S.)

This 33-semester hour degree program of advanced study in educational administration is designed to prepare eligible graduate students for various administrative positions in education. It emphasizes the technical and specialized aspects of administration and includes studies intended to refine the student's competence to deal with more general aspects of educational theory.

This degree requires a one semester internship. This is the appropriate degree program for those applicants already holding a “General Administrative” or “Principal” endorsement.

b) Submit three letters of recommendation on the graduate school's standard form submitted on your behalf from current Type 75 holders, preferably a supervisor http://www.grad.niu.edu/apply/index.shtml
c) Official transcripts from institutions in which a degree was conferred
d) GRE or waiver www.gre.org Minimum scores: Verbal 450, Quantitative 450 or combined score exceeding 900, Analytical 4.0
