Foundations of Education (18 credit hours)
This certificate is designed to provide educators with a framework in historical, social, and/or philosophical foundations of education with an emphasis on issues of race, gender, and social class. It is available to any student with a GPA of at least 3.00.

(9 credit hours) Students may select an interdisciplinary program of electives from across the foundations' parent disciplines, or they may develop a focus in a specific foundations field as indicated below. A maximum of 3 semester hours of internship credit may be used toward the certificate.
