PurposeThe purpose of the Thresholds in Education Foundation is to inform reflective educators about trends relating to the issues, research, and practice in education. Its audience is composed of teachers, educational administrators, teacher educators, educators in non-traditional environments, students of education, and interested lay persons.HistoryThe Foundation was formed in the summer of 1973 by several professors from the Department of Secondary Education at Northern Illinois University. The Thresholds in Education Foundation is a not-for-profit organization independent of, but in a cooperative partnership with Northern Illinois University. The Journal and the conferences have been annual efforts coordinated through the Foundation and in cooperation with other campus and community groups.Membership EntitlementsMembership includes receiving the quarterly journal Thresholds in Education and an invitation to attend and participate in the conferences. Members are also entitled to vote in Foundation elections and to serve the Foundation as officers and on its Board of Directors.Foundation Membership Dues$35.00 -- Includes:
