Course participants will meet during the conference in Sandburg Auditorium.

One Additional Date

Course participants will agree as a group on an additional date to meet for credit course.

Course requirements:

Generally, students will be asked to read selected works of children's literature related to the conference theme and speakers and develop a presentation and written report around their reading.

If you have not previously taken courses from NIU: If you have a baccalaureate or higher degree from an accredited institution but have not previously taken a graduate-level class from NIU, you will need to apply for and obtain permission from NIU's Graduate School to register as a student-at-large (SAL).

Go online to the Graduate School to apply for SAL status. You will need to provide proof of degree (unofficial copy of your transcript, copy of your teaching certificate, or copy of your diploma). You also need to provide an official (with institutional seal) transcript from the college or university which granted your highest degree. The transcript should be sent directly to the Graduate School before April, 2008.
