Children's Literature Conference

Prices: Full Conference: $125*/$135 (NIU alumni rate $115*/$125) includes: handbook, breakfast and lunch, and all sessions.
*Early Bird Registration Rate, no later than Feb 16, 2012.

Autographing: Authors will be available to sign autographs during the autographing reception on Friday afternoon. You may bring your own books or purchase them at the conference. Out of respect for other attendees, we ask that you have only 1 or 2 books to be signed per author. All autographing will take place at the reception unless the author makes other arrangements.

A Meal with an Author: If you would like to eat with an author, indicate your preference on your registration form. Seating is limited: tickets will be issued on a first come, first served basis.

CPDUs and Optional Academic Credit: CPDUs will be available. NIU also offers the opportunity to earn 1 hour of graduate credit. To enroll for the graduate credit course you must also register for the conference. For complete information on registering for graduate credit, check the registration form or call 815-753-3005.

Local Authors: Local authors/illustrators are invited to purchase a table to display their books and meet with participants Friday between 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. Please indicate your interest in participating on your registration form or call 815-753-3005 for more information.

Parking: If you will be driving to the conference, you will need to purchase a parking permit. Permits cost $6.00. Purchase a permit when you register. The permit will be mailed to you prior to the conference. Campus Maps: Click here.

Deadline/Cancellations: Meals cannot be guaranteed if you register after March 5, 2012. If you must cancel, contact Outreach Registration in writing by March 12, 2012 (email: Outreachregistration@niu.edu or FAX: 815-753-6900). A $25 processing fee will be assessed. After March 12, 2012, no refund is available. Substitutions are permitted.
