NIU Graduate Programs in Education

In response to special requests from agencies, school districts, or groups of interested teachers or administrators, the College of Education can also develop degree programs for a specific audience. Contact the Office of External Programs for more information.

Our off-campus classes are taught by university faculty and these courses are available to students who meet the graduate program entrance requirements. With appropriate prerequisites students may also take courses as a student-at-large for professional development. The College of Education offers a variety of courses in the Chicagoland area. Although individual courses may be offered on multiple campuses, entire programs may not be available at all locations.

In addition to NIU's regional sites, courses are also taught in several community college districts throughout northern Illinois. Check the class schedule for availability. NIU is also a partner with several regional community colleges for undergraduate degree completion programs.
