Off-Campus Academic Credit Courses
and Degree Programs

The first thing you will need to do is identify an area of interest or a degree you would like to pursue. Checking the current Graduate School Catalog is the best place to begin. The College of Education is in Section Two. Read through each department's programs and degrees. Questions about degrees and courses should be directed to the offering department.

Once you have chosen a specific class(es) you can then go to the off-campus course offerings to check availability and registration information.

For additional off-campus information check the NIU-Outreach site. NIU-Outreach provides support for all off-campus programs provided by Northern Illinois University.

Northern Illinois University is also a partner with Rock Valley Community College, Waubonsee Community College, and Elgin Community College for undergraduate programs. If you are interested in an undergraduate degree completion program please check out their website.
