As you prepare to leave for FSI, bring with you copies of any materials that you would like to work on or discuss during the workshop. There will be several opportunities to work on your own projects.
This group is for instructors who plan to teach a course totally online, without any face-to-face contact, or an on-campus course where there is group or ensemble interaction online, such is in a Moo or a live chat.
Apart from the course Website itself, there will be coverage of synchronous tools, such as NetMeeting and the java-script chat tool in WebBoard, as well as online presentation via streaming audio and video. Analysis of the relative merits of synchronous and asynchronous approaches will be done
Please note that this web site is currently a work in progress. Check back again to review or preview copies of all of the presentation materials that I use in the workshop, links to websites of interest, and links to all of the tools we will work with or that I mention during the workshop.
