Cultural Connections in Classrooms Website

Welcome to the Cultural Connections Website. The goal of this site is to encourage educators to integrate multicultural children’s literature into their curricula. Book reviews, author studies, lesson plans and short unit plans—all involving multicultural children’s literature and authors—will be posted. Experienced teachers enrolled in Northern Illinois University’s graduate course on Multicultural Children’s Literature (CIEE 539) are sharing their coursework for the use of NIU student teachers and other interested visitors to the site.
