Level 4. Organic Member

I am a member of an organic unit. I am conscious of my unique self and contributions in relationship to the unique nature of others in my group. I am aware of individual and collective possibilities when members of my group are involved in the "flow" of experience toward our common goals. We are responsible for and to each other.

Level 3. Connected Participant

I am connected to others in my group and we are aware of our "connectedness." I am not "at odds" with anyone even if I don't agree with them. I accept that I am part of a group and must share the responsibility for the success of the group. I have faith that "together" we can and will.

I am in a detached and a dispassionate frame of mind (do or say no harm). I see events as "approximations" of perfection or "possibilities" of success. I have reasonable expectations of myself and of others. Facts speak for themselves. No need for anger.

Level 1. Alienated Critic

I am unable to accept imperfections in others and myself in the group. I find fault and talk about "what could have been" … "what should have been." While I am angry and generally depressed about things, I take no responsibility for action or accountability to change the present situation.
