Section Overview

Decoding refers to the interpretation of signs and symbols that represent something to a minor- or macro-culture. Whether the culture is as broadly defined as Western civilization or as narrowly as the Chicago Athletic Association Softball League, aspects of culture train our minds to decode or interpret images using various perspectives.
