Jehan Hill, Ph.D., LPC
Assistant Professor of Counseling
Jehan Hill, Ph.D, LPC, joined NIU in the fall of 2020. Jehan earned her doctorate in Counselor Education and Counseling from Idaho State University. She is a licensed school counselor in the state of Ohio and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Idaho. Her scholarly work highlights methods of advocacy, activism, and culturally responsive counseling practices to better support historically marginalized and oppressed communities in the educational system. As a counselor educator, she aims to empower students to utilize their voice within the classroom space and to pursue their academic interests. She is passionate about training strong counseling graduates and focuses on preparing students to meet the needs of the communities that they serve.
