Message from the Chair

Perhaps the best piece of professional advice I ever received (and now give) is to best position yourself to achieve desired professional goals you should find ones who are passionate about what they do and model your behavior after them. In the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, this is not only possible, it’s the norm.

I can state without hesitation that every single faculty member is passionate about what they do; and moreover, wants to work with students to share this enthusiasm for the field. You’ll find opportunities to get involved with research in the labs, professional sport organizations, community service-based projects, student organizations, and even to craft your own experience with the guidance of faculty experts.

Whether you are an undergraduate or graduate student, looking to dive in full-time to a degree program or try out one class, learn in-person at Anderson Hall or via select classes delivered through an online experience, the faculty and staff want to know you, your goals and how we can walk alongside you in your journey!
