Nomination Process
Nominees
We seek principals serving schools from across Illinois whose innovative programs or innovative approaches in the implementation of programs (academic or non-academic) are making an impact on the college access and degree completion of their students. That impact can be shown to be direct (results are already available regarding rates of attendance or completion) or forecast (as demonstrated by impact on identified indicators of college attendance and/or success or testimonial evidence where such data is not yet available).
Nomination Letter Overview
Letters of nomination should be less than 1,000 words and be accompanied by a résumé, a curriculum vitae or other similar document. Letters should highlight the particular role and impact of the nominee on the programs being delivered; the innovation that the program or delivery method represents; and any available data (quantitative or qualitative) providing insight into the effectiveness of the program.
Fellows Selection
The program is administered by an advisory board that will review nominations and select participants.
