ETRA welcomes a new faculty, Dr. Kyung Kim!

kyung kim

Dr. Kyung Kim received his Ph.D. in Learning, Design, and Technology in August 2017 from the Pennsylvania State University, where he was working as Principal Investigator (PI) on three funded grant research projects related to knowledge structure visualization. Through the projects, he has developed an innovative text analytic tool that can capture, visually represent, and compare knowledge structure inherent in a text. His research papers appear in such journals as Educational Technology Research and Development, Technology, Knowledge & Learning, and Computers in Human Behavior. His current research is to design and develop 1) a computer-based scaffolding system based on structural assessment of knowledge for STEM education, and 2) an analytic system using machine learning technology to detect students at risk of reading and writing.

Dr. Kim, we welcome you! We are glad that you are part of the ETRA family.
