Please fill out our 2+2 interest form and we’ll send you information related to your next steps. You can also reach out to your community college advisor and ask about the 2+2 agreements between your community college and the NIU College of Education. These agreements outline the courses you should take at your community college for a seamless transition to finish your bachelor's degree at NIU.

Earn your Northern Illinois University Elementary Education or Early Childhood Education degree – without leaving ECC!
Our PLEDGE (Partnering to Lead and Empower District-Grown Educators) program allows you to complete at ECC the same teacher-licensure program offered in DeKalb on NIU's main campus. All student-teaching and clinicals will be completed in local districts.
