Remote Learning and Student-support Services Active in the College of Education
Our top priority at NIU is the health and well-being of our students, faculty and staff. All classes are now being taught remotely and online by our faculty and instructors in response to the global outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19). Our advisors and staff are also working remotely and are ready to assist current and future students. We are actively monitoring email throughout this period and encourage you to contact us if you have questions or need additional information. Teacher-licensure candidates can also visit the NIU Educator Licensure and Preparation website for more specific updates. For information on coronavirus (COVID-19), please visit the NIU COVID-19 webpage.
We prepare students to succeed and lead in their careers and communities.
Teaching, whether it’s early childhood, elementary, middle-level, special education or physical education, requires passion – and preparation. Our faculty will develop you into the kind of teacher who positively shapes lives. Our programs also prepare counselors, librarians, principals and superintendents.
Our graduates harness instructional technology, crunch test data, reshape curriculum and understand how human beings learn. Other alumni are helping people to reach their full physical potential. These success stories result from our college's focus on high-quality teaching, rigorous research and engaged service through programs grounded in engaged learning experiences.
Join us to start – or advance – your impact on the world!
